Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Kovalytics ("we"), which operates Our Matchbook. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Our Matchbook.

You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure.

You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run Our Matchbook for you.

A conversation involves another person. By uploading one you confirm that you have the right to do so and that you'll respect the other person's privacy — including their wish not to be on a Matchbook. Partners can withdraw consent, which hides the Matchbook from viewers.

Don't use Our Matchbook to:

• upload content you don't have the right to share, or someone else's conversations without their involvement;
• harass, embarrass, threaten or expose anyone;
• upload anything illegal, or sexual content involving minors;
• upload nudity or sexually explicit images, even in a private Matchbook;
• upload viruses or other malicious files;
• try to access other people's Matchbooks, guess passwords, or disrupt the service.

Photos are checked automatically when they're uploaded. A photo that looks explicit is hidden until a person reviews it, and we remove photos that break these rules. Suspected illegal material is reported to the authorities.

Every file is also checked for viruses when it's uploaded. A file with one is refused, and the account that sent it is suspended until we look (it may well be a mistake: tell us).

We may put a Matchbook on hold while we look into a report, remove content, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Anyone with your Matchbook's link and password can view it, and so can anyone with its public link while that's turned on. Choose who you share them with; you're responsible for that choice.

You can have one free Spark at a time; upgrading it to a Matchbook lets you start another (if that upgrade is refunded, see the refund policy for which one stays). A Matchbook is a one-time payment, charged through Stripe; there's no subscription. The price, including any sale running at the time, is always shown before you pay. Our Matchbook is available in Canada and the United States, where Matchbooks are sold; in a few other countries you can make a free Spark but not buy a Matchbook, and elsewhere the site isn't available yet. Prices may change for future purchases. Paid features are delivered immediately. Refunds follow our refund policy.

We work hard to keep Our Matchbook available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. Features marked "coming soon" aren't part of what you're buying until they launch. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever shut down, we'll give you notice so you can save what matters to you.

Hinge, Tinder and other app names belong to their owners. Our Matchbook isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by them. We name them only so you know which data you can bring, and our chat styles are our own designs. You bring your own data, downloaded through each app's own "download my data" tools.

To the extent the law allows, Kovalytics isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited.

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Alberta, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, email you before they take effect. Continuing to use Our Matchbook afterwards means you accept the new terms.
