How it works

    Request your Hinge data

    In Hinge: Settings → Download my data. It arrives by email, usually within 48 hours.

  2. 2

    Upload and pick your match

    Drop in the files and choose your conversation with your significant other. Your prompts and photos come with it.

  3. 3

    Share it

    Share a link with your partner to add their side, and you get a private, password-protected Matchbook.

Questions

Is my Hinge data safe?
Your original files are deleted once they're imported, and only the match you choose is kept.
Why do we both need to upload our data?
Your Hinge download only has your side of the conversation: the messages you sent, not the ones you received. Your partner's download has the other half, plus their profile and prompts, so with both we can put the whole conversation back together.
Do we both need to upload at the same time?
No. One side works on its own; your partner's upload adds their profile, prompts, and messages. This can be done at a later date.
