How to download your Bumble data (and messages), step-by-step

Bumble sends your data when you ask through its help center. How to request it, how long it takes, what's included and what to do with it.

Updated October 25, 2026

Bumble doesn't have a download button in the app. Instead, you ask Bumble's support team for a copy of your data (a "data request"), and they send it to you once they've confirmed it's really you.

Before you start

  • Your account should still be open. Bumble says it may not be able to get your data back if your profile was deleted more than 28 days ago.
  • Use the email you signed up with, so Bumble can match the request to your account.
  • It can take a while. Bumble allows itself up to 30 days, though most requests come back sooner.

How to request your Bumble data

  1. Go to Bumble's help center (support.bumble.com) and open the contact form.
  2. Choose the option to request your data ("Request my data").
  3. Fill in the form with the details of your Bumble account and send it.
  4. Watch your email: Bumble may ask you to confirm it's you before sending anything.

You can also ask through Bumble's chat support: say you'd like to request a copy of your data.

When your data arrives

Bumble emails you when your data is ready. Download it straight away and keep it somewhere safe. It has your profile, your photos and your messages in it.

Nothing yet? Check your spam and promotions folders, and search your inbox for "Bumble".

What's in it, and what isn't

Your copy covers your own data, including the messages you sent. Bumble says that you and your match each need to make your own request to get both sides of a conversation.

Common questions

How long does Bumble take to send my data?

Up to 30 days, Bumble says, though most requests are answered sooner once they've confirmed who you are.

Can I get the whole conversation with my match?

Only with both of your requests. Your copy has your side; your match asks for theirs.

Can I get my data if I deleted Bumble?

Possibly not. Bumble says it may not be able to retrieve your data if your profile was deleted more than 28 days ago.

…and here’s what you can make with it

However your story started, it's worth keeping. Our Matchbook turns it into a keepsake: both of you, your first conversation and the moments since, in one private book.

We don't read Bumble's files directly yet, so a Bumble love story is built by hand, and it only takes a few minutes:

  • Add the two of you and the day you matched.
  • Type in your first messages (or the ones that mattered), copying them from your download or your screenshots.
  • Add your photos, your prompts and your memories: the first date spot on a map, a song, a voice note.
  • Share it with a private, password-protected link, schedule it as a surprise for your anniversary or Valentine's Day, or print it.

Start free with a Spark. Writing your own prompts, voice notes, every style and scheduled surprises come with a Matchbook.
